Summer Solstice, what, really? Does not feel like lovely midsummers day especially walking the dog in the drizzle this morning....
Dragged the 'aunt' to circuit training (3 mile dog walk was just a warm up) at the Merton, followed by a swim.
We did finally get home for lunch by 2:30 and afforded ourselves a couple of hours break before the next dog walk, and then.........we popped by the tennis club for a set of tennis- and so ended the first day!
Meanwhile the fireman had gone to work, the engineer was 'fixing' stuff, the politician had had his meetings during the morning and the cabin boy was off to town to 'do stuff'!
The three adults are mentally preparing for the 12 mile walk tomorrow, weather doesn't look brilliant, and strong winds forecast. We do have a contingency plan though, the aunt has a sore calf muscle so if it all gets too much we will have to 'pull out' and look after her!!
