Monday 14th October

Walking out of the airport in Norwich on Saturday set the tone for the rest of the week, I did think that maybe I had inadvertently got myself on a 'saga' holiday by mistake, ( yes , I know I do qualify )as the rest of the passengers were all an average age of 60+. I had arranged to meet my sister in the car park but such was her eagerness to see me she thought she would wait for me in the arrivals hall. Therefore as I passed through the automatic doors I was greeted by the sight of her in the distance, barely able to conceal her mirth. It took me a few minutes to wend my way through the sea of grey haired shuffling holidaymakers, so by the time I reached her she was convulsed with laughter, so much for sisterhood!!

Yesterday we went to a cafe and met up with more family members, my niece, nephew and their baby, it was a shame the weather was damp and wet, this however didn't stop my aunt and I from walking there and back- well we needed the exercise!

So far back home I believe it's done nothing but rain, and last night most of the island was in blackout with a power cut, so don't feel I'm missing out.

Had two requests to sub for our other netball teams, sorry that I can't help out but pleased I was asked ( unless of course I was on the ' last resort ' list, which is highly probable!!)

On a totally different subject I have been told verbally how much we/you all raised on the Macmillan coffee morning, and I think she said £300 + ,
So well done and a very big THANK YOU!!!
