Walked the dogs, saw some friends, gardened, celebrated our eldest sons 30th birthday, had an aerobics class, and played some tennis. Not everybody's cup of tea for a good weekend, but each to their own. :-)
Admittedly I was a little tired last night, but happy tired.
I was a bit unnerved by coming back to the city after the terrible events that happened last Saturday night. I've seen on the television this evening the mass of people that have been around City hall in central London, like the atrocities in Manchester, many heroic acts from ordinary folks that have saved lives.
The last dose of radiotherapy tomorrow, and so far minimal side effects, my neck is sore, red and itchy, but not all the time. My throat is about the same, general feeling that something is stuck , certain foods are more difficult to eat than others, but everything is manageable and I do have painkillers which help.
I've also got my clinic appointment tomorrow and will hopefully have some sort of post radiotherapy plan , all of which can be done in Jersey which is great.
I know I keep saying it, but a big Thank You to all friends, and family for their ongoing support, particularly by keeping life 'normal' for the majority of the time. Just keeping off the "cancer story " helps me forget I have it !
