Firstly I have instructed Bex to write on this blog "How to comment on a blog" , because I haven't worked out how to explain it to my fellow bloggers!! :-) I think you were quite right Jane with your 'answers creating more questions', We have had lots of information on the actual operation itself, I'll need a hysterectomy (no more babies then , hubby obviously upset with that one) and they are going to take the 'fatty tissue' surrounding the bowel ( I'll look up the correct terminology later !) So I get lipo suction for free !!! They are also taking lymph nodes out to check them out, probably one day in I.C.U, (that's standard procedure possibly two nights), am booked in for 7 days but if I'm good I may only have to stay 5 days in hospital. I'll need an injection every day for 28 days to prevent blood clotting etc- Hubby looking forward to administering them! I won't have any definite results on any tests done until 2 weeks after surgery, and recovery is 4-6 weeks,(3 in Jill's book) as hubby says when they say I can walk a mile a day, I'll probably walk 2 miles !!
Had a most enjoyable game of tennis after work today in sunshine :), and did manage a few games of badminton tonight, so once again 'time flies when you're having fun'!
Thanks again to my merry band of followers and friends :)

Tuesday 28th Februaury
Too late and far to confused to write much tonight that'll make any sense (!) Thanks to everyone who wished
me good luck today, it has been a long 2 days. Spent the best part of 4 - 5 hours in the Marsden today, being weighed, measured, talked to, bloods taken, more talking, more waiting..... They were all lovely and very helpful, now i need to inwardly digest info and prepare for the operation. ( still on schedule for the 12th).
Today apparently is just the start of my 'journey', (not that I asked to go on one, but there we are!)

Sunday 26th February
Enjoyed an early breakfast walk and coffee along the breakwater before 8 this morning with hubby, also had 2 hours or so of good tennis in the mild weather- followed by another lovely walk with friends around our beautiful parish of St Martin. Decided this morning after talking about the possibility of fog in the island Monday/Tuesday we have booked a flight to Southampton on red-eye tomorrow, we intend to hop on a train and spend the day in Winchester visiting son no.3, before catching another train to Weybridge to spend night at my big bro's house. Hopefully we'll get out tomorrow ok, at least we should have all day if fog does come in- we are still booked on the flight back from gatwick Tuesday, we lose out but can't afford to miss appointment.....;-/

Saturday 25th February
So awful for those people whose plans have been disrupted because of the fog, such a shame. The weather is a bit depressing, did racquet ball from 9- 10 , had lovely game of tennis outside, and the weather was much clearer and quite mild. Followed it up with 3 games of pentanque where I alternated between brilliance and rubbish, still managed to take a game off the men (hubby included) :-)
We are so concerned about the fog coming back on Tuesday that could well fly over on the Monday red eye
instead, however trying to re book flights is complicated and nobody on desk now until tomorrow at 10am.

Glad you've brought me up to date Kim, and I've seen photos of Lyra, she does look beautiful, takes after Grandma? Just about recovered from supper at G house last night, now trying to write a 'correct' Thank You note! ( In fact I wasn't quite as nervous as I thought I might be, and they were extremely welcoming).
Had a busy morning at work, while hubby has been sorting out flights for Tuesday, then had a delicious bowl
of soup at the Public hall, first of the Lent lunches, saw lots of happy parishioners!
I have been sent a podcast link of my big brother talking about global fuels, almost VIP status, so thought
I'd 'tag' him in this blog !http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/bizdaily It's under Oil Spike heading, and
the infamous Peter Newman........;-)

Thursday 23rd Februaury
Decided to clean out the fridge this morning at 7.30am! Well, I had to stay in the kitchen and keep quiet as daughter (Boo) was having a 'lie in' as no lessons first thing on a Thursday. Son No2 opens the door of the fridge looks despondently inside and said he'd never seen it look so bare!!
Went into town to buy my friend a 50th birthday card ( you know who you are )! Bumped into a parishioner and found out first lent Lunch is tomorrow in St Martin, looking forward to homemade soup, bread and cheese after work ;-)
First stumbling block when I called the hospital to 'book' my flight for next Tuesday, not quite as simple as that, it's all 'means tested' and tax forms are involved..... so I've passed the buck to hubby to try and sort out, mild panic as we are talking 4 days away and I'm not going to miss it !
I am continuing to be humbled by the amount of support, 'love' and prayers that people and friends are giving me, I do feel a sense of comfort knowing that so many people care :)
Enough of that soppy stuff, off out now for a dinner engagment, bit unusual for a Thursday night but not one , shall we say that you can turn down !!

Wednesday 22nd Februaury
Well, had a good positive day today with lots of 'feel good' comments and texts. Enjoyed a Zumba class yesterday , and got to play netballl last night- despite losing by one goal got voted by the opposition as player
of the match! ( think it was either a sympathy vote or 'help the aged') :-)
At work ALL DAY today !! Had a call from Jersey hospital to tell me that next Tuesday I need to go to London for the day for the 'pre op clinic', and I'll get a letter (in post when I got home). The operation is booked for the 12th March, and yes of course I'd have liked it sooner, but apparently that's good for the
Marsden. I now need to write up lots of questions to ask ready for next week, and go to the hospital and sort
out flights.
Tennis after work got cancelled because of rain, but luckily I can now go off to badminton....;-)

Monday 20th February
Had a few jobs on my 'to do' list today, managed some of them although bag not packed yet!
Luckily I don't have to work on a Monday so a trip to the Merton and a Zumba class was
very enjoyable. Yet another trip to Waitrose for more food shopping, housework this afternoon,
and then a lovely walk with friends and a cup of tea .
Hopefully should have some hospital news tomorrow.....

Sunday 19th februaury
Such a lovely sunny day today, perfect tennis weather :-) Enjoyed early morning walk and
'breakfast' coffee at St Catherines, plus afternoon 'circular' walk in St Lawrence.
Went to watch War Horse at the cinema tonight- I defy anyone not to cry!! Having been fortunate enough to see the play in London twice, felt I needed to see how the film compared. However, how is it with only 17 people in the cinema, a couple sat directly behind us, (and bashed hubby on head with handbag!) chewed popcorn and kicked the chairs!! Not throughout the whole film, but unbelievable all the same....:-)

Saturday 18th Februaury
Started the day with a few games of racquetball, won most, lost a few ;-) Went with hubby to look at 'bargains' at Jersey Hospice, they'd all gone !!
Had a quick look at netball tournament inside at Les Ormes, and lunch (!), then drove to grainville and watched Banks Ladies Rugby (sorry gina), had to leave to play few games of pentanque, before nice cuppa tea at a friendly neighbours house. Rounded off the day with cooking a roast chicken dinner for family. ;-).

Cont........This is a steep learning curve for all of us! Would like to put in/add links, but need techno child for that!!
As far as I understand it, I am putting a new 'post' (page) up on a daily basis, and should you wish to 'comment' on it, thats great, doesn't matter if you dont- :).
Played 2 hours of tennis today with 3 lovely ladies- nice coffee and cake afterwards, watched Becky have a swimming lesson, another coffee with Lynn (!) and then food shopping :(.
Had lovely family tea 'catch up' , and then finished the day with couple hours of badminton :)
Really hoping to have some news of hospital date by tomorrow night.

Wednesday 15th Februaury
I have a booking at hotel L'Horizon for the 16th March- it was a quids in deal that I know we won't be able to use.
It was £99 but happy to 'sell' it for £50, It's for 2 people, bed, breakfast and evening meal.
I did ask the hotel if they would extend offer but they said no, and I may try Quids In to see if there was a chance of a refund, but thought I'd ask fellow bloggers first.

Hope to have some news about a possible date by the end of this week, just a bit of a waiting game.
