Lo and behold I started a cold...... Thank you to everyone who has sent me good wishes, either by text, card or verbally, all very much appreciated. After my last hospital visit and blog update I was struggling a bit with the overriding thought that my Cancer had returned, especially with the "jump " of my blood test.
However last Monday I started yet another cold, and now I am hoping fervently that it was because of this that my reading was such. By the end of last week my 'cold' had developed once again into a chest infection, so I am now on another course of antibiotics, (one huge horse pill daily), and although i don't feel on top of the world, I actually feel a a little more relaxed in myself.
Which I'm sorry to say probably isn't how Nanny is feeling, unfortunately she had a fall early last Wednesday morning, and ended up calling the doctor, who fairly quickly called the ambulance which rather swiftly took her to hospital. She has sadly, as subsequent xrays proved broken her hip, and underwent an operation to have pins put in. This was done under epidural not general anaesthetic, so recovery from the op is quicker, but she has been on strong medication/painkillers causing her to have vivid dreams (more about those later!) .
I'm posting this early as I have to walk the dog before I get (and many other people) a guided tour around the new St Martins school, very exciting.
Thanks once again Peeps xx

I'm sure your fan club will join me in being much relieved!
ReplyDeleteHaving seen your Badminton Facebook photo, I though I should catch up with your blog. I was gutted to see your previous post re your blood test, but slightly relieved to hear you had a chest infection (not often you will hear people say that!)
ReplyDeleteWill you be having another test soon to see if it was your chest infection. I REALLY hope all goes well.
How did you get on with the badminton, by the way?I assume you have recovered from the chest infection.
