Monday night in Mallorca ....

Losing track of days, so really must be in holiday mode! Slipping into Mallorca life, late breakfasts, lunch and supper, it has been nice not to have to cook, shop, and clean etc, although I have to confess to missing my sport! contemplated jogging up and down steps this morning but coerced Steve into playing tennis and having a swim BEFORE breakfast !!!

loving the sunshine and long warm evenings, plus the beautiful sea. We really have found a lovely resort here. Although the hotel is full it doesn't feel too crowded, and we enjoy 'people watching' . The English are definitely in the minority ( which is not a bad thing!) but there are quite a few folks who 'stake' out their claim to sun beds , and as the majority of guests are German is doesn't take you long to work out who they are....we ( I ) am so tempted to race along and chuck the towels in the pool!!!

Wish I could post a few photos on here but it'll have to wait until I get back. We have hired a car for a few days so seeing quite a lot of the little towns and beaches ( accidentally found a nudist beach, yes it was an accident, Steve less than impressed with large overweight very old men, said he doesn't need to come to beach in Mallorca to see that, he just looks in mirror!!!!!)

Our Spanish is extremely poor, in fact after asking directions today I found myself thanking them in french, while Steve thanked them in Portuguese , no hope !

Our last day tomorrow.... Before we brace ourselves for the autumnal weather back home.

Thank you to all our 'dog walkers ' while we've been away and apparently things are running very smoothly at home without any persistent nagging.....excellent I say!!

  1. Glad I not the only one that confuses my VERY limited languages with each other! It did make me chuckle.

Glad you have had a lovely holiday.

Saw at least one of your children heading to the ploughing competition in a tractor convoy on Saturday. Any trophies this year?

    1. It was Hippotel Eurotel Punta Rajda Costa des Pinos! Bit off beaten track but very good for 'old people' so we fitted right in!
