Friday 26th October
I think I’d better go back to writing a daily blog, hubby
says that’s what a blog is, a day by day account, (just because he thinks he
knows everything!)

It’s been a mixed bag of emotions this week, Tuesday morning
I met up with my Zumba ladies with the usual chatting/teasing and of course
crazy dancing. We are experts now on ‘Gangnam style’ dancing!
Tuesday afternoon I went to a friend’s mum funeral, very
moving and always sad.
Finally when there was a brief clearing of the fog my big
brother and sister-in-law arrived (actually he is big in both senses of the
word!!) LOL
They were staying in a rather nice hotel in Rozel, and with
their particular ‘deal’ they had a hire car included, so I had all the pleasure
of seeing them without worrying about catering for them at home. Mind you I think
that was a wise choice on their behalf, who in their right mind would stay in a
house with 4 delinquent children?? (Joke!!)
Visiting St Ouen |
Wednesday was dog walking and visiting folks out in St Ouen,
and in the evening a Fruits de Mer at home, not being funny but we ordered one
for 6 people and it could have fed 10 of us!! Having said that sons 2 & 3
had a good go at eating double the amount of normal people!
Thursday morning another dog walk, before I had to go into
work and so hubby took them to play petanque on the village green. Despite the
very foggy conditions they did manage a game and sister-in-law won (fair and
square) .
We needed afternoon tea after that so headed to the hotel
and enjoyed the jam and scones with my in-laws.
You see so far most of the blog has been about food and dog
walks- that just about sums up my week!
As my bro has a damaged knee he was declared unfit to play
tennis or badminton….. (He just couldn’t
bear the thought I might actually beat him at something!) What do you mean
sibling rivalry? We love each other really……
Very sad to see them go today, far too short a visit, but
plans to catch up with each other again soon.
My family seem to have got sore throats- 4 out of 5 of them
are suffering, I too have succumbed but I’m sure that my white cells have
got boxing gloves on and are fighting back!!
Family is not an important thing, it's everything.
