Pinch punch?
Sorry not blogged sooner, all a bit upsetting, and quite difficult to stay upbeat and positive.
I went to the hospital on Wednesday and the results of the test were as follows:-
A normal neutrophil count is 1.8 (or more) mine on the 29/7 was 1.49. I had a 'nice positive' response to the G-CSF injection which increased the count to 9.45. This is the positive bit that I need to hang on, it means that my bone marrow has responded well to the injection and i do not need a bone marrow biopsy. Which is good, as that in itself is very painful, and would add more complications.
It has been recommended that i have an injection pre surgery, one post surgery and another three days later, this will hopefully prevent 'chest sepsis' and/or wound infection.
My vitamin B12 assay was normal.....and my CA125?...... it has risen to 400....thats a jump from 79 on the 1st May...
Thats the punch.
