Monday 1st December

We have all known that an older  member of the family suffers from 'colour blindness'. As this condition can be passed down through the generations, I was watching to see if any of our offspring inherited it. None of them appear to have done, not that there should have been any great worry if they had. However there was a recent conversation between a Grandparent and grandson that was rather worrying and went something like this...

(Read with a Jersey accent)

"Can you tell the difference between red and green?"
"No"
"What about the the other colours?'
'Not really"
" Has that ever been a problem?"
(Regales a short story where he thought he'd bought his wife a blouse in one colour and it was totally the 'wrong' colour!)
"What about traffic lights?"
"Oh, I'm fine with that because I know that red is always at the bottom"!!!!!!

"What!!!"

Very busy this morning in our household, three members of the family left at 7:30am, PM off to another full day of meetings, Jack and Bex to town. Having palmed the morning dog walk off  to Dan, I caught up with usual house chores saving my energy for the tennis match! Two good sets of tennis later, and after picking up Bex from town a well earned lunch. No doubt about it but this last chemo has seriously affected my game...I'm sure I didn't put so many volleys in the net before.....

No time to rest as had to get some food shopping done, and walk the dog...but lovely, lovely LT popped in when I was out, dropping off a delicious looking Spiced Chicken hotpot, so nice to be greeted with the aroma when I came indoors, and know that I didn't have to prepare supper! Lucky me/us.
This also gave me the energy I needed to attempt a game of badminton.... playing with the 'county' girls and feeling  way out of my depth, my partner ( who had an amazing game) and I managed to take our opposition to three games losing 18-21 21-19 and 21-23....

I decided after that match that it was wise to stop, forty five minutes of non-stop rallies was about all that my diminished red blood cells could take!
