I've returned from a full day in town....0730-2000...but a good day (for me that is)...Jilly has had a much better finish as well....although I'm told she was "dodgy" to say the least mid-way through the afternoon. I'm reliably informed that there was a point when those that were in attendance at Seaford were considering taking her to town (and I don't mean the Royal Yacht followed by Mimosa). In the end she was saved by a good dose of Movocol and a new Fentanyl patch.....a rumbling in her tummy followed a few minutes later.....and then some fairly instant pain relief...after which her colour returned very quickly and she appeared more "normal'. Her previous complexion had been compared to the walls of the house .... and when you learn that our entire interior is coloured magnolia you'll realise that she probably wasn't at her best. The really good news is that this morning Jill managed a walk on the beach.....well waddle actually...but all the same, she must have felt good to be back down there...even if it was a Grouville beach and not a St. Martin one.
It's been suggested from the sofa that our resident chemical engineer should pen a few lines this evening, so I'm going to stop early and hand over.....he's just come in from looking at the moon....
Firstly, I think some clarification is needed: Daniel and I tried to look at the moon with my fancy motorised telescope but it disappeared behind clouds so we had to come inside and were called 'failures' by Jack (who no doubt has laser eyes and can see through clouds no problem).
Whilst the parents were away in London we managed to get Aunty Angela to pick as many courgettes as possible from the garden so that they weren't forced on us by Jill 'vegetable woman' Luce. No one likes courgettes; I think the only reason they are grown here is because they're easy. More grew even after they were all picked. Who would have thought that plants continue to grow even after you 'forget' to water them?! I'll know to remove the entire plant next time.
Well, thank you Tom for your thoughts...I never knew you loved vegetables so much.
The boys are planning a fishing expedition tomorrow...BIG tide.... stay tuned.
