Monday 19th November
Our Godson’s 24th birthday today, now he’s
married and living in Grouville already!! How time flies.
I had a lovely morning on a furniture hunt with son No.2
this morning; we set off from St Martin with dog at about 9.30am and headed out
west. After successfully visiting the chap who was selling wardrobes etc. and
agreeing to buy them, we took Jessie for a run on the sand dunes, which she
loved.
Of course, after all that travelling and exercise we had to ‘refuel’
before travelling back east. Big Verns for coffee and bacon rolls did the trick,
and spending time chatting and catching up with his life was an enjoyable way
to spend a morning.
I met two friends for lunch/coffee at the Café Firefly,
(thanks not only for lunch, but also for a ready-made supper SW!) I just about
had time to walk Jessie again before it was really dark, and then a neighbour
came (LW) with some beautiful roses as a surprise for me!
I still had plenty of energy to play badminton this evening,
and had some very close games, it was mixed night, so basically the men do all
the work! (That’s actually not true).
