Wednesday 14th November
I managed to somehow set off the smoke alarm this morning by
switching the iron on…..obviously a very sensitive alarm, or a very blocked up
iron! Luckily only momentarily, but enough to have me charging about in a mild
state of panic!
Started off my first dog walk of
the day in a positive mood, the sun was shining and she was behaving herself,
15 minutes down the road I realised I’d forgotten the ‘doggy bags’, so obviously
turned around and went back home to get them! (Just as well).

Guess who wanted to 'play'! |
The plan was to go out west this
afternoon and play on the sand dunes with dog and daughter, but by the time we
had been to Waitrose and gone through the car wash (It was so filthy it needed
an industrial clean!) we ran out of
time, so made do with the woods and St Catherine’s beach!
Other than a mild sore throat I
don’t seem to be suffering any side effects, I don’t need to take any steroids
post chemo, or anti-sickness drugs so that’s a bonus. The time I spent in
hospital was minimal (just over an hour) so that’s manageable too. I guess I just have to re adjust my outlook and
get on with it, I know it’s in my best interest and that’s what matters.
I know a lot of you do read the
daily ‘drivel’ that I write and I thank you for all the on-going support and
friendship that you have shown me, I do realise it’s very, very difficult to
post comments!
“I think if I've learned anything
about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them
fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or
tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds
life and faith together. Powerful stuff.”
