Saturday 10th November

Saturday 10th November

We have all had a fantastic time in the UK for DL’s graduation, not so sure the ones left behind enjoyed themselves quite so much (Jessie included). We were lucky with the weather and the flights for us all ran smoothly. Not quite the same for my in-laws, who were delayed for two and a half hours, meaning that they made the ceremony by the ‘skin of their teeth’ (and they don’t have that many teeth between them!!)

Posting a few photos to show how proud we were as parents, and pleased that our son was able to share the day with his friends as well as us.

I did manage to do a little shopping, however in future I shall make a mental note to leave the men behind, when they weren’t moaning they had constant looks of incredulity on their faces at how many bags I ended up with! (Not many…..)

We had some more excellent news while we were away about RD passing the plans for the building of the Parish School- so on our way back from the airport we popped into the ‘celebration’ party and had a drink.

I started the day with a lovely walk through the woods and onto the beach with Jessie (I really missed her!) The usual chores of washing and catching up that always follows on from being away before taking Jessie onto Grouville beach for a run, it’s such a pain the nights getting dark so quickly.

Hubby and I went to the parish hall this afternoon to help out at the ‘Remembrance’ afternoon tea, washing up and generally trying to be helpful!

Out tonight for a meal celebrating our friend SLeC birthday tomorrow, so hence the early blog, also a HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow to my sister (who I don’t see often enough, but love dearly-and is eternally grateful our parents saw sense and didn’t call her Poppy…….)

And while we are on the subject of birthdays, huge congratulations to MN on the birth of her lovely little baby boy on Thursday, I look forward to having a cuddle!
