Wednesday 21st November
Wednesday 21st November
The brisk hours walk along Grouville beach this morning left me with glowing cheeks, at least that's what I thought it was, then I remembered that one of the side effects of chemo is 'sunburnt' face. The least troublesome so I can cope with that!
Apparently it's 'spend time with daughter day', this includes going into town and doing important jobs like shopping!(we did have to go into social security and sort out her paperwork). I was impressed actually, she had only received the letter from them yesterday and needed birth certificate and various forms which she had sorted and filled in. Obviously takes after her father!
We also negotiated sand street car park (and bought Uni tickets so we don't incur that credit card 20 p transaction, Jersey ay!!)
We contacted hard working son no 3 who had been at his desk since 7am, shock to the system to say the least! He has been conducting important share transfers and 'bossing' it! Actually I think he is quite relieved no mistakes made so far.......anyway we took him out for lunch to break up his day. By the time we had been through the car wash (literally)and visited Waitrose for the daily food shop it was gone 3pm. I was quite pleased when we got home to find that hubby had kindly taken Jessie for a wood walk, it meant that I could unpack shopping, get supper on the go and get a brief sit down before accompanying daughter to her swimming workout at 5.45.
If you happen to be in the snow hill end of town, pop into Barannes, it's a health food shop, but at the back is a big 'juice bar', it's run by my friend GB, and makes fantastic fruit and vegetable juices plus lots of other good stuff, check it out.
I had some really exciting news yesterday, but its a bit of a secret I'm going to keep for awhile, ( well, I think it's exciting!)
I'm taking it easy at badminton tonight, I do not wish for a repeat of last Thursdays debacle, besides I have to go to work or they'll have forgotten what I look like!
