2015....here we go.

So here we are, the start of another year....but it's still "One Day at a Time" for us here at Seaford. It's been another good day....a very brisk walk down to the Breakwater for Jill, Bex, Jessie and I this morning to witness the crazy people that go swimming on New Year's Day....and they were particularly crazy this year...a strong wind blowing in to the slipway...rough seas...biting wind...and yes, there were still a BIG crowd of swimmers keen to impress those of us spectators....and yes, we were impressed.  One can only take one's Father Christmas Hat off to them all....well done.

Jil had a tennis match reserved this afternoon, but the weather really didn't improve and she sensibly decided it was too windy and cold to play. Consequently she became very annoying by taking the cancelled match out on us all....the hoover was switched on every time we got into an interesting TV programme.

We had N and P for supper this evening, or should I say entertained N and P for supper. It was good to have them to around for a meal...it's been a while....although the end was rather marred by the fact that my beloved football team managed to lose 5-3 in a late kick-off, the end of which coincided with the end of the meal....not a good start to the New Year for Chelsea supporters.

We've heard from those family members that are "absent"..... they've survived well...although no great details yet. Dan returns tomorrow and Jack on Saturday....so it won't be long before the fridge is once again straining under the pressure.

Swimmers at St Catherines...

'We' forgot the lead on yesterdays harbour walk so improvised with Steve's scarf!!

Had my nails painted whilst having a transfusion, Bex did a good job and didn't charge much...!!!

View from the end of the harbour yesterday.

Lastly, once again thank you for the blog comments, always read but don't always respond!

Happy New Year!!!!!

  2. Personally I'm delighted at the Chelsea result :)) and must admit the colour co ordination of the scarf and Jessie went well - perhaps she could try 'that' Christmas waistcoat which clearly did not have planning permission!! God bless all
