Sunday 4th January 2015...

Here we are in 2015... and to think in February 2012 I didn't even think I would make it to the summer, it just goes to show that you can live with Cancer. I guess I'm feeling upbeat and well this week due to the transfusion last week, it has recharged my batteries and given me the boost I needed.

I'm due into hospital tomorrow morning for another blood test, with the view I suspect to receive Chemo by the end of the week, in which case I may not be quite so perky this time next week!

I've had a good weekend, thoroughly enjoyed last nights meal with friends, it seems a long time since we've been out for supper, socialising is very tiring! Took Jess for an hours walk this morning before first Keep Fit class of the year, a few new faces have enrolled for the Sunday morning session, lets hope we haven't scared them off and they turn up next week!

Took down the last of the Christmas decorations and put yet another load of 'skiing' washing in the machine, before going off to play tennis with friends. We managed three sets, it was so mild and with the added bonus of no wind ( no excuses for wayward shots) .... plus I could RUN!!!
Actually feel I could play netball this week, but maybe that's going a touch too far? I so miss seeing everyone on court, and although i know I could go up and 'watch' its not the same.

Bex did a good job of cooking supper tonight, started off with slices of Parma ham ( thanks S&A)and then she made chicken fajitas, followed by homemade chocolate brownies... and cream. After this we had yet more discussions on weight, as it appears Dan had weighed himself yesterday too and was 'horrified', once again the scales were brought out and each of the boys took it in turns. It almost ended up in a competition!! Without giving too much away, Jack is the heaviest ( muscle and height?!) Dan next and Tom the lightest. Tom thinks despite his desk job he is actually the strongest, and 'proved' it by grappling Dan across the kitchen floor, to which his brother complained it was only because he had 'grippier' socks and so didn't slide!!!!
I'm sorry to say that this show of machoism is a regular occurrence in this house, not surprising really with the amount of testosterone floating around....

Finally, wishing everyone good luck with the start of the new term this week... looking forward to traffic congestion and roadworks starting in the northern parishes, now where's my bike?? (NO comments thank you!!!)
