Saturday 9th June
It’s only today that I have actually felt that the huge ‘blanket
of lethargy’ has lifted from my shoulders. The minor side effects of joint pain, numbness
etc that I’ve had all week has diminished and I feel SO much better, thank
goodness. I was a bit grumpy and frustrated (hubby bore the brunt) but now the
energy levels hopefully are increasing, the mood is lifting!
I had a beautiful walk down to St Catherine’s early this
morning, past my favourite Bel Val beach, before heading out west to see my ‘ 2nd
family’. By the time I’d stopped at
M&S on the way home I was worn out! A lovely surprise visit from a
neighbour with a delicious chocolate/cream cake left over from the birthday
party we missed was a real treat!
I needed a rest after lunch so we never made it to the RJA
and HS fair, so instead we went late to Pentanque and enjoyed 3 games in the
sun on the village green, followed by tea in the tea rooms!
I enjoyed my supper tonight, fresh asparagus and then a dozen oysters- (I cook mine-hubby does the raw bit!)
My boys are back- well half of them, son no 3 got dropped
off in St Helier on the way home so no doubt it will be tomorrow lunchtime before
we see him! Sounds like a good time was had by all.

So lovely to see you today. I'm glad you're feeling a bit more with it! As usual we didn't finish any conversations due to my unruly brood! I'll try and get over when we're back and can you promise Bex I'll catch up with her properly as I'm feeling very guilty that she got a bit sidelined this time! Good luck with next bout of chemo and love to Tim x x x
