Saturday 23rd June
Hmmm, after writing my long blog last night, I thought at 1am time for bed, however I was still wide awake at 2am !! So got up and started putting together the format for the 'hospital 'blog, then i watched 'Silk' on iplayer!! By 4.30am I was feeling peckish so had toast and marmite- hubby joined me as he was preparing for the Governors Walk and had to be down at St Catherine's for 5.15am, I subsequently took him down and then tried to go to sleep for a couple of hours!! I do not like those steroids!!
My daughter kindly accompanied me around the Supermarket in my bemused fog like haze, so we had supplies for the weekend. Hubby did well with the walk and finished at Ronez at 10am, and got dropped back home.
We went up to the Village Green to play pentanque , it was lovely so see lots of people from 'headway' also enjoying the facilities of the grassy open space and joining in on the pentanque games.
I was worn out by 4.30pm so had a potter in the garden and a 'cat nap' before taking my 'mediciation' and being injected with Neutoplast to build up my white blood cells.
Earlier on I'd made a Shepherd's pie which was just as well, as around 6ish 'the troops' arrived home and demolished it- I, meanwhile had salad and trout! Really pleased to be able to pick lettuce leaves, chard and baby spinach leaves fresh from the garden.....so much nicer than bought ones.
I had a lovely long 'face time' chat to my sister tonight, been sometime since we have conversed and managed to catch up on each others lives, it's good to talk as they say.
Think a hot shower and early to bed tonight ( might just put the ironing board up should I feel the urge at some ungodly hour to do a spot of ironing- I do know of a new baby that I could help to feed, that sounds far more pleasant a prospect!!)
