Saturday 2nd June
Not such a good night, just wide awake with the steroids and
a terribly itchy face, did contemplate briefly going for a walk at 4.15am to
see the sunrise, but thought better of it!!
I did however go for a lovely walk at 9 around St Catherine’s
and along the breakwater; it was so calm that I was sorely tempted to go home
get my costume and go for a swim! (I didn’t however!)
We did have to go to hospital and pick up an injection I
needed tonight, and so coupled that in with a trip to the supermarket (groan)…..not
so bad when there are two of you to share the burden. I did laugh though as I
found myself walking out of the house without bandana or wig!!
Played 3 games of pentanque on the village green this afternoon,
I did team up with hubby and another chap, and took on 3 men, we had some very
close games but we came out the winning side at 3-0 so jolly pleased with that
result!
Afternoon tea with my niece who was 15 today rounded off the
day nicely before a mad dash to be at the Opera House at 6.45pm for the Teenage
Cancer Trust show, and it was a truly amazing show case of such young talent.
All under 18 years, dancers, singers, musicians, it was incredible, and well
worth seeing, they have raised a staggering half a million!
By the way my ‘just giving’ page will close at the end of
the week; I currently stand at £5115.00, once again a thousand thanks to
EVERYONE, and let’s beat this disease!
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the
things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines,
sail away from safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails, explore,
dream, discover.”
Mark Twain
