Tuesday 19th. March

Yesterday we were all working...today we were doing other things......at one extreme, Dad left at 7:30 and came back at 20:15...and at the other extreme Dan and Jack didn't work at all (well, not properly). Jack is on nights tonight and Dan has been "messing about doing boaty stuff"....doesn't sound much like work to us.

Bex went down to the Hungry Man today...and managed to get on Channel News...well, in the background as the camera panned around.....stardom at long last. Itex for her tomorrow as she does the first stage of her enrollment.....lots of checking to do (passport, certificates etc.) ...but at least it's a day off from College as she isn't feeling quite 100%....she has a "throat".....well, of course she has a throat, she couldn't talk or breathe if she didn't....but we know what she means.

Dad had an "Option B" meeting after the States. There's a referendum coming up in April if you didn't know.....and Option B is the one that gives us superconstituencies AND Constables....Dad is trying to rally support, but at the moment there doesn't seem to be very much enthusiasm from anyone. Hopefully the public will get a little more engaged after Easter.

Our big animal news is that the cat has doubled in weight over the course of the afternoon. The detail is pretty short and sweet.....Mum does dog's dinner ready for dog when it returns from walk.....Dan calls up to say "can you pick me and the dog up from St. Catherine's"....Mum puts dog food on the sideboard and goes to St. Catherine's.....Mum comes back with Dan and dog.....dog food has disappeared, bowl is empty and (an extremely rotund) cat is asleep in the middle of the kitchen floor. The cat was put outside very quickly in case it exploded.....and hasn't been seen since. Dog is not impressed.....the cat had already had his afternoon snack before he decided that the dog's dinner also needed eating. We doubt that Dad will him tomorrow morning either.

Dad came home to, not only the fat cat, but building issues, ITIS issues, boat reservation issues, meeting issues..........what a happy chappy he was by the time it got to 10......time for bed said Zebedee!

The Woman is out again at Netball this evening.....well, that's what she told us. That's the second night in a row....someone must be pretty desperate...but we're sure she's enjoying herself.

  1. I'm sure I have an old video player in the loft. It was in working condition when we put it up there a couple of years ago. Would the weekend be too late for of to have a look for it? Emma from St Ouen x
