Wednesday 13th March
Ok, I’ve had enough now; the lovely white soft powdery snow
is quickly turning to slush, I’ve not driven the car for three days and have a
bad case of ‘cabin fever’. On the plus side I haven’t had to go shopping
(nothing in the shops anyway) and I have enjoyed extremely long dog walks!
My aga benefited from a clean this morning and is gleaming,
as are the top of my kitchen cupboards; my ironing is up to date and has been put away! Still doesn’t
make up for the missed Pilates, racquetball, yoga, and tennis….
Considering this time last year I was in a High dependence unit
at the Marsden hospital, high on morphine and talking gibberish….the only
change being I’m not in hospital.
Hubby dropped me and Jessie down at Gorey this morning,
where the wind propelled us along the beach at a vast rate of knots. I got as far as
Le Hocq before he picked us up again, Jess could have carried on to town and
beyond, but I needed lunch!
Dan went into Coopers today, then had a spin on the
Seafaries rib so he can gain some experience with this new venture. Jack has
been out all day, finishing up with yet more snow clearance in the lanes I had
walked in earlier.
Looks like life returns to some normality tomorrow, with
schools open and D duties back on track.
I need to get on with some serious training for the Race for Life, less than 12 weeks to go, and I'm not sure if flailing about in snow drifts with the dog counts....
