well...after yesterday's feline escapades, the dog decided that she couldn't be left out of the action. Consequently when Mum got back this morning from (one of her numerous) sports, she discovered that Jessie had become an indoor plant expert.....well, and indoor plant pruning expert anyway. There were pieces of money tree scattered all over the conservatory....and when we say pieces, we really mean large chunks. Those of you who have seen the size of the money tree will know that it a substantial house plant....let's just say that there were 3 very large dustpans full of money tree to go in the bin. Mum was so angry she snarled at said dog.... who in turn was so upset at being shouted at that she did, what has become known in our house as, a "nervous wee". So there we had it, money tree parts all over the conservatory floor and dog wee all over the kitchen floor.....as you can imagine, Mum was "speechless"...in fact we all stopped talking and just cleared up. The dog was, literally, in the dog house.
Mum relented quite soon after and gave her another one of those "indestructible" toys to say sorry for shouting at her.....we were pretty astounded after a few moments....dog took new toy on to the mat by sofa....dog gives toy a couple of good hard chews... toy is in shreds.....un bloomin' believable !! what sort of jaw muscles has this dog got......she could audition for a part in Jaws....the canine destruction machine.
Bex was the top person in da house today....absolutely no question. She managed to a 17% bonus from that very very nice man John Lewis (that's Waitrose to you and me) and then she followed it up by being offered her work placement at Itex. To say that she is well chuffed does not do it justice....and two proud parents to boot.
Dan has been out passing exams as well this evening...he's come in singing his own praises after passing both his radio and first aid at sea exams......won't be long before he's hassling the Harbours Department for his Jersey Boatmaster's ticket. Dad's not sure if he wants Dan to get qualified or not....getting his "ticket" will allow Dan to do much more boat driving.....is that good or bad?
It was National Book Day today....the teacher came home with tales of woe. "Which characters did your children dress as?" was the question......"I don't know" was the answer....."all I know was that one child was wearing a pair of underpants on his head".......so, we'll leave you to work out who that was suppose to be....we have no idea!

Loving the paws background - very cute and cheery, also The Daily Puppy - and I'm not particularly a dog lover.
