Monday 10th December
After I ‘sang’ happy birthday to my hubby at 7am this
morning, I did tell him that this was the 30th birthday I had
celebrated with him…. It has to be said he wasn’t duly impressed….
Many thanks for his cards/presents and salutations, after
all birthdays are for celebrating, not counting!!
I had an early morning dog walk at les Platons/Egypt before
a Yoga class at the Merton. I’ve never really done Yoga before or even
considered myself a Yoga person, but actually enjoyed it; mind you most of the ‘positions’
were well out of my pathetic capabilities but I did try!
I had a very enjoyable lunch at Murrays at St Aubin with
good friend SW and her son and his girlfriend and then got caught in traffic
going into town for the hospital check-up.
Bloods were taken and unbelievably my clotting platelets are
rubbish….. Down to 54, this is really annoying as I feel fine. Consensus of opinion is I turn up on Thursday
morning for Chemo and have more bloods taken, and unless the platelets are
below 30 I have Chemo as ‘I can always have a platelet transfusion’!!
Played some cracking games of badminton tonight (I had a
good partner!), last session of league before Christmas, so nice to go out on a
high.
“How old
would you be if you didn't know how old you are”?
After a year with Rupert? I would say much older than I felt last year!!
ReplyDeleteI love your words of wisdom though....Birthdays are for celebrating not counting - these have to be the words of an older person though, as we know we are getting older when we try not to acknowledge the number!
We must try an plan a 'play-date' soon, as miss catching up with you, and having a good old chin wag! xxx
Think Friday sometime would be good ..... ;-) xx
