Sunday update….

Friday night with friends was a jolly affair that included not only good food and company but silly party games! Our thanks go to MP and RP for ‘organising’ what was a great evening!

Saturday morning dog walking and food shopping as well as picking up yet more furniture for son’s bedroom, thought I’d get a ‘rest’ in the afternoon but that never happened! Preparations for a ‘curry night’ at home for 10 people, needless to say I didn’t have to cook the curries, just the rice!

We had a choice of four different curries made by (would you believe) my oncology doctor! They were AMAZING, proper Sri Lankan food. He runs a charity called Island Friends Together and cooks Sri Lankan cuisine dishes for dinner parties or sometimes larger events. All I can say is they were delicious and everybody seemed to enjoy them and a very big thank you to all of our friends and for the generous donations to the aforementioned charity. I can’t believe that I forgot to take photos….. Too busy trying to be a hostess!!

After another late night I had a little lie-in this morning till 8 ish, (hubby took Jessie to the café and breakwater before 7.30am!) Did a ‘clear up’ and then had my last Keep Fit class this year, thanks to JR and JP for providing a valuable service on a Sunday morning- great for the body and soul!!

Took Jess out to beach for 45 minutes so she could have a good run as met SC, PE and AdeF at Ransoms for coffee, and knew it would be dark by the time we finished chatting! We covered a wide variety of subjects, none of which I can reveal on my blog, although most of them resulted in laughter!
Back on the chemo this week providing all is good at the clinic check up tomorrow, (as long as they don’t do a ‘liver’ scan all should be well!).

I’m sure I have left lots of stuff out about this weekend, but it has been a busy but good two days….. Now daughter is pestering to put up Christmas decorations!
