Sunday 3rd February
As I am approaching the anniversary of ‘the news that
changed my life’, it has obviously brought back lots of memories.
The blog really came about after a suggestion from a friend,
and it has been an excellent way of charting my progress through my operation
and on-going chemotherapy.
The main idea of it really was to let my family and friends know,
not only how I was coping/managing it all but also how the rest of the family
were dealing with it.
The feedback over the last year has been brilliant, from the
followers and regular readers to the ‘once a week’ catch up people. I am
constantly amazed and humbled by the amount of folk that DO read my daily
comings and goings.
I can honestly say that the daily writing has been very
helpful (as anyone who knows me knows I like to talk!) I have found it has
helped to make some sort of semblance of order into what was a highly emotive
year.
So to sum it all up, whilst I can’t quite let go of the blog
altogether I am going to cut down the amount of entries, probably to once a
week.
I've LOVED your blog. Whilst there was the serious side to your blog, it has also kept me very entertained and has often had me laughing out loud. I think a lot of your followers are going to have to go on a 'blog detox' with you! - I'm going to have to find some new 'night feed' entertainment! A big thank you for helping US through your illness too. Let's hope you stay cancer free.
