The weather didn't help, forecast rain all day, so tennis cancelled, I thought I'd better do jobs around the house. First a dog walk ( lucky I took a large umbrella) as it poured with rain, although Jess didn't mind. I started cleaning the ' silver' ( mostly the children's christening gifts and a few sporting medals) , but it sounds posh! However, as I have an attention span of a gnat I got bored of that and headed off to the Merton for some circuit training ( that explains the first part of the blog!!) my reasoning was I needed to pick up a few things from the supermarket and if I was going to be in the area , I may as well do a fitness class as well.... Makes sense surely??
Of course after lunch I had to finish the polishing, and do a few jobs, fortunately Steve arrived back and came on dog walk with me, and miraculously we managed to chose the one hour of the day it wasn't raining !
I am sure with better weather due this weekend and an early night tonight I will be feeling much better- it's just disheartening when you find out your red blood cell count is 10.3 ( should be 11.5 and above) so that explains the tiredness, my neutrophils are just on the border being 1.8 ( 1.5 and above to have chemo ). Although that's a pretty low reading to have at the beginning of chemotherapy . It's my platelets that are 61, they really should be at the very least 150...
This also explains the 'accident' I had with the dishwasher.... I really should be excused all kitchen duties! Last week I was emptying the cutlery draw and stabbed my hand with a ( clean) fork, normally no problem. The back of my right hand now has a fairly large sore (bigger than a fifty pence piece that is refusing to heal. I've tired EVERYTHING, a hydrocortisone cream, coconut oil, zambuk, Aloe Vera.... Anyway I asked at the pharmacy today, and was given a ' special' plaster and got told to go to the doctor ! It's alright I have an appointment at the hospital on Monday , if it really hasn't healed I will have to have antibiotics ( which funnily enough, I DONT want ) . I did bump into FH in the supermarket today, who kindly dropped in some different cream to try and a very large bottle of apple cider vinegar ( very good for alkalising the body) something which I have been trying to do for weeks. Cancer thrives in acid conditions, and my body is very acidic at the moment.
Changing the subject, a lot of my UK family are meeting today in Center Parks for a long weekend - I hope the weather is kind to them, but even if it isn't most of the attractions are inside, and I know they will all have a brilliant time, wish I was there!
Despite a bespoke umbrella , Jess would rather be out in the rain.....
