Saturday 4th October

Don't really think you'll get a lot of sense out of me at 11pm at night, ( or at any time I hear you cry!) so just a very brief update of today's events...
Walk on the beach with Jess and Bex this morning, fortunately before the rains came, but blowy all the same.
Visited the RJA Fayre and Cattle Show late this morning, I do find chatting and seeing people ( plus 'standing' up for long periods of time still very tiring.)
I had no idea I had such talented friends... So took visual evidence of some of their handiwork!
Congratulations to husband and wife Dlh, who took various awards in cakes, apples and potatoes....

And a VERY big congratulations to a modest but worthy winner JP...what can I say?!

Mention must go to another friend who proudly told me of her 'single rose' entry, a first time for her - and she came second......... The fact that she was the ONLY one in her class.......I did say I'm not sure I would actually be telling people, but she said she was pleased, imagine not even getting a 'well done' , she was very happy with ' second' !!! It takes all sorts....😉

No swims today, too wet, windy and cold, plus I needed a big rest this afternoon, but we did manage to get a little gardening done . Steve had to take some tables down to St Catherine's lifeboat station for their Open day tomorrow... If you're looking to support a good cause.....⚓️

Had a real treat tonight AA came round with a scrumptious home made chicken curry AND a very light non dairy chocolate pudding, totally spoilt.... I've ordered again for next week!!!!

We ended up watching the DVD 'The most exotic marigold hotel'....Tom came in laughing, saying that it was made especially for old people like us ! Sad thing is he's right!
