Another day another dollar...as one of our retiring States Members used to say to me EvERY time I met him....We're on a bit of a very shortish blog this evening as it appears that we're all busy doing general stuff....Tom is teaching his coding at the Hub...Bex at her book keeping course at Highlands...Jack only just back from another hard day fighting fires...and Daniel in charge of cooking supper....Jack has walked in and demented pizza...just as well That's what Dan is producing. Even if I say it myself, Daniel does know how to make a mean pizza...and all from scratch including the base.. I can recommend it if you get the chance.
Jilly didn't the best blood test today...platelets not behaving and red cells dropping as well...but it's a while until the next scheduled chemo...so we've got fingers crossed that the next few days sees an improvement...more blood tests on Monday...not ideal, but we are staying positive.
The dog isn't on top form either this evening....she was out with Dan in the woods this afternoon, and quite often recently she seems off colour after running around in woodland....maybe there's something at this time of the year that doesn't agree with her....and now the cat is stood at the back door meowing to go out...what is it with the animals this evening?
Jack has received his bill for repairing the back axle of his Land Rover....judging by the reaction when he opened the envelope I doubt that he not be going anywhere near the sea with it ever again....words were spoken about boats and slipways...I suspect that when it comes to next year and we want to put boats back in the water that we will be looking for alternative trailer towing vehicles...
I think that's about it for now...N and P dropped in this afternoon which was nice...apart from that I think it's been an average day...I got on the radio this morning talking about the women's refuge and also on the TV this evening in the background at the opening of the field of remembrance...so, Poppy Week has started...let's get wearing them....100 years since the start of the Great War....5000 Jerseymen and another 2000 French nationals left the island to fight .... What a contribution from such a small place.
Well that's it for tonight...did you know that the end of next week is November? And not long until Christmas....wonderful isn't it.
