Friday 23rd March
Where to start without going into rambling incoherent text? Begin
at the beginning….
Another lovely sunny day enjoyed a coffee and ‘stroll’ along
St Catherine’s breakwater with a friend ;-), before heading to meet hubby in
hospital to find out the results from operation.
The best news is that the operation itself went very well,
and all of the tumour/tumours were able to be removed, this is a good positive ‘base’
to begin the next phase of treatment.
I will need chemotherapy and will be receiving a letter
shortly from the hospital for an appointment on Thursday next week, I myself
have questions to ask the oncologist, I believe I could start chemo 4 weeks
from the op; I will need 6 treatments – 3 weeks apart.
Few other bits and pieces of information, but will learn
more next week….
As my mum would say ‘there is always someone worse off than
you’ and in the words of the great Winston Churchill KBO……… J
Hey Mrs, not the best news. Who wants to go through chemo. But you need to make sure you zap any rogue cells . best way forward .Mum has decided to have chemo too . doctor says side effects for her treatment are not too bad . swollen ankles and maybe a rash . You are young and strong . 6 months from now you will be well and back to your old self . Much love from me and Mark xxxxxx

DeleteAgree with old girl, you're young and fit and need to zap any little buggers. You've hit the nail on the head Jill, all tumours out is a really positive base to launch yourself into Chemo, which will give you a good spring clean. Give me a shout if you want me to make you any fairy cakes!!!!!!(or not??) Lots of love.xxxx
