Saturday 15th September
Such a lovely day today, with both the weather and myself! I
had a very pleasant dog walk down to Flicquet this morning, meeting neighbours
on the way for a chat!
(Thanks to CM for dropping off 'anti ulcer spray' -it has really helped!)
Back home and two hours of household chores followed- I was
waiting for the sun to come back out so I could go for a swim! Finally at
11.30am whizzed down to the beach for a swim before lunch, glad I did as it was
beautiful. There was only one other gentlemen on the beach, plus a few seagulls
and a heron!
Drove to Pentanque,( was going to cycle but didn’t allow
enough time), played game of doubles and won, another game of doubles and lost!
Then had a match with three ladies, and lost badly!!
Licking my wounds and injured pride I came home ready to
entertain my guests for afternoon tea, ‘the hobbits from out west, JP from St Mary,
and VH (with babe) from across the road! This made for an eventful mix of small
children, a baby and a young puppy!!
Hubby and son DL came home at 6 from a long (but agreeable
day at the Minquiers- work, not entirely pleasure!). We had decided that we
would go to St Catherine’s cafe for a Thai meal, which we did and it was
lovely, beautiful setting with the high tide.

want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not.” ~ Mark Twain
