Saturday 1st September
Got totally caught out by first of month pinch punch by my
sneakily casual daughter at 8.45am this morning-she’d better watch out in October!
I thought, just for a change I’d play a bit of tennis today,
different four, same court, GREAT FUN! (Once again thanks AH, and for the plum
chutney,)
Finished my steroid tablets today, so maybe the ‘sunburn
flush’ will ease off and I may even get to sleep a bit better. Also glad I don’t
have to have those injections for a couple of weeks, a week off from hospitals,
blood tests and Chemo, blissful respite.
Had a far too hurried lunch with my friend SW, before
dropping son and friends to Jersey Live to actually ‘WORK’ as opposed to ‘PARTY’!!
Is this finally a sign of maturity I wonder? Doubtful!
No hubby today but managed
to get to the Village Green for a few games of Pentanque this afternoon, played
with 3 ladies, a very good hour and half and won 2-1.
Lots more dog exercise/gardening/supper meant that a) too
late for a sea swim and b) too tired!!
The greatness of a nation and its moral
progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
