Wednesday 5th September
How it is that food shopping can take over two hours to
accomplish? Not only an inordinate amount of time ‘wasted’ in driving/shopping
and packing/ unpacking, but adding insult to injury – very nearly £200- AND I didn’t
buy any meat-not even sausages!!!!
So that was my morning….Sadly I never made it to Church for
the Healing Service as still in the supermarket. The afternoon was far better;
the tennis club have open tennis on a Wednesday, so thought I would give it a
try and fortunately there were 8 of us, so we were able to ‘mix’ in.
A well-earned ‘rest’ before supper and a re-charge of
batteries before playing badminton, so nice not to have Chemo this week, as normally
far too tired wiped out to do anything.
We actually had the cat (Billy) and dog (Jessie) in the same
room for a short while today; hopefully we will get a gradual acceptance from
the pair of them.
Billy was practicing his ‘camouflage’ technique today,
whilst Jessie was attempting to ‘blend in’ to black cushions!!
"If a dog jumps in your lap, it is because he is fond
of you; but if a cat does the same thing, it is because your lap is
warmer." -- Alfred North Whitehead
I was half expecting to see pictures of your children sprawled on floor/cushions too! Glad you're feeling more Tiggerish. xx
