Monday 6th August
I moved dust around the house this morning with the hoover,
before heading off to the Merton for some aqua aerobics. I was ‘going for gold’
but barely made a bronze- still it’s the taking part isn’t it?
Daughter and I booked Jessie in for her first vet visit on
the 20th August for her vaccinations (WE PICK HER UP ON THE 19TH!!)
Less than 2 weeks away!
I managed to theatrically drag the lawn mower out ready to
finish the lawn, stating the obvious, and was pleased when son no 3 fell for my
ruse and immediately took on the task. He’s actually missed a few bits, but “beggars
can’t be choosers” as my mum would say. I did lots of useful gardening jobs
this afternoon, as not really ‘beach weather’.
In fact this blog is
more like ‘Countryfile’ and less like ‘Chemocycle’ every day! I just need to
find myself an ‘Adam’ in Jersey (this quote will not be understood by those who
don’t watch Countryfile)!!!
I had the urge to go on a cycle ride tonight; I left it a
bit late, which caused recriminations from the boys, who said I would never
have allowed them to go out so near to dusk!! I did have a strong head wind
otherwise I’m SURE I would have overtaken that Mobility Scooter……..
Reminder to oneself- close your mouth when out on your bike (swallowed
far too many flies!)
If I can
bicycle, I bicycle.

Ha haaaa, all the things you nagged your children about are coming back to haunt/taunt you!! What's that saying? Is it do as I do, not as I say, or do as I say not as I do. Anyhooooo, they gotcha!xx
ReplyDeleteAh Countryfile-a must for me. Not long till you have your puppy! -will you fit a basket on the front of your bike for her as I'm sure she won't be able to keep up with you!! xx
