Thursday 16th August
Good news! Our daughter has done really well in her A levels,
enough for Highlands to accept her in September! (I.T for business) It has been
another emotional day, with laughter and tears, but generally good results from
all her friends.
Hubby and I were invited to Gorey Fete for a meal, with not
only the sponsors, but the three lovely girls, Miss Battle of flowers, Miss St
Martin and Miss Grouville. Such a shame that halfway through the afternoon it
rained, especially with all the hard work I know that has gone into the set up.
All the money raised goes to local charities, and in previous years they have
done very well.
Arriving home late this afternoon, there was a beautiful
pink bouquet in the kitchen- (thanks so much JoP) such a lovely unexpected
surprise!
I had forgotten about the ‘chemo glow’ that accompanies the
treatment, so far without the irascible itching (put that in especially for SC
of St Martin, she loves me using ‘big words’!)
Let’s hope the rest of the side effects will be mild or
maybe even non-existent- one can but hope!

Was a shame about the weather for the Gorey fete. Great news to hear the side effects not too bad. Well done to Becky-she worked so hard & so got the results-brilliant. Weather looking promising again!!! xxxx
