Saturday 11th August
I thought I would ‘Seize the Day’ today and arrived at the
supermarket at 7.45am- determined to get the food shopping out of the way so I
could enjoy the sunshine!
Arriving home and shopping unpacked, I thought I would just
make a quick ratatouille, also roasted some vegetables for a salad and prepared
the fish for tonight’s supper- (I did have ‘hubby help’!) Two loads of washing
on the line and a few perfunctory house jobs done, I took myself off to the
beach!
The In-laws came for supper tonight, so I used the opportunity
for a photo or two, however I had the camera turned on me, and the result is my
‘blog pose’!!! No bandanna (far too hot!) and glasses on the end of my nose!
Hubby said “You’d better be careful, you really will scare people”! Charming! Don't worry, that's NOT going on the blog!!
I found this statement tonight written by a fellow blogger
and it pretty well sums it up….
I'm just one of many hundreds of people who blog about their
illness or trauma, and, according to Dr Tom Farsides of Sussex University, this
is not surprising: "Writing is an effective way of processing and coming
to terms with challenging and potentially traumatic events," he says.
"But blogging is more than the mere
act of writing. It also fosters senses of both control and social connection,
each of which is crucial for psychological wellbeing."
