Tuesday 7th August
Took Mr L with me to the hospital appointment today, as I seem to
always come out in a more confused state then when I went in! Spent about 20
minutes chatting to Dr H and Nurse AP, and things are a little clearer now. We
have to wait for the Royal Marsden to actually give their final verdict about my on-going
treatment, but Dr H is saying that providing my CT scan (no date yet but asap)
and another blood test should ‘match up’
with a general ‘All Clear’, then he would stop all the chemotherapy, because in
his view it has been successful. The fact that I have struggled to raise my
blood clotting/white cells indicates that I could very well become extremely
ill if I continue. However it is always good to get a second opinion and
everything is always double checked by the Marsden, so I know that I’m getting
the best treatment possible and my well-being is paramount.
Arriving home my neighbour PDlh kindly picked me and another
friend SS and drove us to St Brelade where we met up with SW and SleC at La Moye
Golf club, yes, we really were ‘Ladies who lunch’!!
We had a super lunch in such a fabulous setting, and then
trundled off further into the depths of St Ouen to pick up a stair gate that
another friend has kindly given me (thanks EleM!)
It was lovely to have been driven around today and to spend
time with good friends….and to finish the day two hours of tennis, thanks
everyone!

Sounds like good news Jill. Excellent. Agree with Fenella's comment yesterday, fit a basket on the front of your bike for Jessy. My bro has one of front and one of back of his tandem for their 2 dogs. Quite a sight!xx
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like good news!!! All so confusing for you-but now things look clearer. What a lovely day you had yesterday-& don't you deserve it ! xxx
