Wednesday 8th August

Wednesday 8th August

Cycled to church this morning to take part in a healing service, a time to reflect and think about those who are not as fortunate as me.

Met the little people on the beach at Bel Val and as it was high tide I enjoyed a few swims. We were joined by my sister-in-law and it was nice to pass a few hours in the sunshine.

I played a few games of badminton this evening before visiting the St Martin’s Float and ‘helping’ out with some of the flowers. It does look brilliant and I know a huge amount of time and effort has gone into the design. Lots of people will stay late in the night trying to complete it, and try to get some sleep before the big day tomorrow!

Arranging a bowl of flowers in the morning can give a sense of quiet in a crowded day - like writing a poem or saying a prayer.”
