Monday 30th

Monday 30th April
First little red poppy flower out in the garden today, beautiful.

A lovely Maufant friend visited today armed with pep-talks, presents and pragmatic advice, all of which was welcomed! Included in the ‘bag’ of goodies was a fantastic book called The Funniest Thing You Never Said, a collection of humorous quotations. This means that from now on at the end of each blog you will be subjected to ‘The quote of the day’- I know you’ll all look forward to that….
We had a somewhat blustery walk around Le Saie that blew a few cobwebs away, before she headed off to work and I drove to the Merton for a swim. It was perfect, only 3 people in the pool, the sun came out and I ‘drifted’ up and down the ‘lanes’ without too much exertion incorporating a little gentle exercise for about 15 minutes.
Had to pick up my daughter for her ‘swimming lesson’ that involved travelling all the way ‘out west’ to Les Ormes. In order to make the most of our extended trip we ended up visiting St Peters Nursery and Marks and Spencers on the way back, (more food shopping!)
My RFL has reached a whopping £2.110.00…….Thanks everyone.! 17 adults and 4 or 5 children in the 'team' so far !!

  1. Great to hear you now back at the merton & your sunday morning class. After a grotty weekend weatherwise it was nice to see the sunshine this afternoon. Love the quote xx

  2. Hello Munchkin,
Must catch up this week. Sorry was rubbish last. Need to bend your ear on plants for garden (how sad). After debacle of picking flowers off my beans only you can truly understand my plant ignorance!! Off to school tomorrow afternoon for first day back at work! Not paid sadly but a toe, or tip of a toenail anyway, in the door. You may find someone called Rita has joined your race for life team - panic not, you're not being stalked just yet - she's a pal of Mandy's and wanted to do it so hope that's ok?! Anyway, usual gibberish - need to go to bed. Love you xxx
