Tuesday 24th April
Sunshine and sleep, just what the doctor ordered! Set off
early to the other side of the island to buy another wig, this one more like my
new short haircut, and as wigs go not bad, although I am sure my FRIENDS will
be the judge of that when the time comes….
Quick catch up with a good friend before beetling into
town (love being able to drive) for my C.T scan.
Always lovely nurses in the hospital, and not a long
wait, and hopefully should have ‘results’ later this week, or at my next chemo
session. It’s one of those, you want to know, but actually you don’t…
‘Riverdance’ legs have been downgraded to ‘housemaids’
knee’…certainly something I can manage-and thanks for advice on magnesium
supplements, something I will look into for the future.
Felt brave enough to venture into town briefly after the
scan, all a bit surreal, as oddly for me looked and felt ‘normal’, but guilty
because I should have been at work!
Met son’s no 2 and 3 at Bouley Bay, where they are on a
PADI Diving course for 3 days, both just out of the sea and shivering (rather
them than me) I felt compelled to buy them lunch (that’s what mum’s do!), which
they appreciated and favour has been returned as they now making supper!
Had some lovely flowers and card from a Trinity neighbour
this afternoon who’d heard I’d been unwell and a brief chat, before meeting a
‘retired’ teacher for afternoon tea at Bonne Huit. Her husband has been really ill with Cancer, but hopefully after repeated setbacks he is now on the road
to recovery, although It will be a long road…….
Hope the C T results are good x I am obviously the cause of some hilarity these days when people discover that I am doing the"WALK" for life!! The Pink T-shirt arrived with my "number" so no going back now. So pleased to hear that the "old girl" is getting hitched too! xxxx
