Sunday 22nd April
Writing this while watching some absolutely amazing
athlete’s running in the London Marathon,
very inspiring.
The family all pulled together yesterday to make Son
no.3’s birthday a great success, a superb ‘team’ effort, and so lovely to see
so many good friends that helped us celebrate. Including the Maufant neighbour,
who surprised us with some delicious ‘rock cakes’!!
Needless to say the ‘party’ went on well into the night,
as the ‘youth’ took over the kitchen, which was just as well as there was
plenty of food left over! All very civilised and no rowdiness, (well they are
21 now!).
I am so pleased that I felt so well yesterday, few aches
and pains today, but expected side effects, and not a brilliant night as
regards sleep, but taking it very easy today and resting lots, just as ‘doctor
daughter’ ordered. Hubby has already done a brilliant job in tidying up,
(although it wasn’t too bad).
Once again many thanks to you all for making the day such
a very special occasion. ;-)
Lovely photo of Dan.
ReplyDeleteThese marathon runners are amazing (am watching whilst meant to be studying). If that was me, I'd be crawling on the floor, and not at the end, about 1 mile into it. Walking is SO much better. You did look so well yesterday Jill, brilliant for such a joyous occasion too.xxxx
ReplyDeleteAll your kids are a credit to you Jill .You and Steve must be very proud xxxx
ReplyDeletewow, 21, where did all that time go. He is lush (am I allowed to say that). Glad you all were together for his birthday, have a great week. xxxx
ReplyDeleteI SAW JILLY LUCE (she's no longer Jill) DRIVING ALONG THE ROAD TODAY. Do you know, fellow bloggers, that was such a wonderful sight. Seemed like some semblance of normality and order had been restored. And she was smiling from one ear to the other. Brilliant.xxxx Superb!!xxxx
