Thursday 5th April
Nice little jaunt to a well-known food shop this morning,
with my daughter as chauffeur and bag carrier/packer, raced around as quick as
we could before shop went from ‘busy’ to ‘chaotic’.
A Trinity Easter bunny popped by at lunchtime with a
delivery of chocolate Easter cake and an Easter hamper full of goodies,
including a nice bottle of ‘red medicine’ which I will try to force myself to
drink…. ;-) Thank you very much x
Another ‘driver’ (I suppose you could write friend, although
the way she was cackling over my wig trying on I’m not so sure) picked me up to
go ‘out west’. Met up with another ‘friend’ (yes more cackling AND insult to injury,
photo taking!)to walk around Val de la Mare. It was very bracing and a tad
windy but enjoyable never the less.
The wig buying followed, with taunts, 1980’s quotes and
general camaraderie from my two ‘friends’, but the said wig was finally
purchased! (Glad I could entertain)
Meanwhile back at the ranch, team ‘Luce’ had the start of a
roast dinner well under way, (I had pre done veg, so not too many ahhhhs
please)!
Son No 1 excellent at carving (although wielding the knife
on the ‘steel’ was a little disconcerting), Son no 2 lovely roasties and
daughter as ‘chief KP’, all went smoothly we were all agreement was delicious.
So whilst I have not exactly killed the fatted calf, the
prodigal son no 3 has arrived home, so once more we are a family of 6!!
You should have popped in for a piece of home-made cake and a cappuccino before heading home? Great to hear from you today but it never beats the real thing :-)
ReplyDeleteMake sure you come see us next time you are "out West" - open invite x
Thank you ;-) xxxx
