Easter Monday

This may be a short blog this evening because one of us ran Ma's laptop out of battery this evening and we haven't managed to charge it very much this evening......and we've got loads of more important things to do....and no time to write blogs before going out.....so, we'll use what charge we've managed to get in to the machine and see how we go....if this blog suddenly stops mid-flow than you know why....either we've run out of laptop power...or we've gone down to Rozel to put Easter Monday to rest.

Ma and Pa went off early, as Dad wanted to get to the Weighbridge in plenty of time before all the classic cars left for their cavalcade at 10.....the only problem was that they didn't actually leave until 11...and at 09:30 (when Ma and Pa got there) there was only one car there....and by the time plenty of the other cars had arrived they were both frozen solid. A trip to the Lifeboat cafe for bacon rolls and coffee was calling....after which they went walking on St. Aubin's beach. The dog went for a second walk this afternoon.....but only after dad had watched his beloved Chelsea beat Manchester United in the FA Cup......we weren't sure how Tom would take it, but he was pretty quiet all things considered.

Tom had friends arrived after lunch and, in true Tom fashion, he took them down the meadow to cut some trees up.....what a way to spend a Bank Holiday.

Jack was trying (unsuccessfully) to refit the starter motor to the digger....he just couldn't get any power to flow around the system....the engineer and father will have to have a look tomorrow....but as the machine is in the middle of the yard it isn't the warmest place to spend the day.

Dan was coffeemaking all day....and Bex returned from her 7-11 shift at Waitrose not too tired.....although she's not surprisingly gone off early to bed this evening.

The week ahead isn't much warmer apparently...and we had ice on standing water in the yard this morning.

Tomorrow is sort of back to normal, and we can prepare for the short week ahead.....

this machine is making strange (about to die) noises.....so we're off.....
