It will be ironic that it's only been over the last week that we have managed to get her to jump willingly into the car, but after the car journey and trip to the vet I hope she wont be put off! We picked her up tonight and had to carry her to the car as she was too wobbly to walk ( and 'high' on an opiate based drug!).
Love her little black/white bandage! |
Bex had an exam at college today- fairly important 'networking' module, when asked how it went the reply was "Ok", standard answer, we'll wait and see. The Politician Plumber (PP) was not impressed with the bad press he received in last night's blog particularly as he was trying his best to improve the situation. To be fair he has narrowed down the trouble spot and made it much easier for the 'Official Plumber' to rectify.
The engineer and PP with some fairly vocal encouragement from me, have also 'fixed' the Internet cable. As a temporary measure it had been laying through most of the house and under doors for the last six months, ending up getting frayed and needing tape wrapped round it! With a bit of ingenuity on their part that involved bamboo poles, cable ties, rope and string plus head torches they clambered around the loft and have succeeded in threading the cable discreetly inside the cupboard. The good news is the signal is everywhere in the house, the bad news, except.......Dan's room- so no more lying in bed on his lap top then- unlucky!!
I took a friend as a guest to the Merton today firstly for 'circuit training' and then for a swim/steam etc, anyway I was querying if the jacuzzi was working before we bothered climbing in, and the "boss" said he would kindly turn it on for us- with the usual banter that went on between us I quipped that really the only bubbles I liked were champagne ones......... anyway we had just got out to be met with the 'boss' walking over carrying two wine glasses with champagne in!! (Sprite really but hey you cant have everything!) It really was quite amusing to see the holidaymakers stunned faces trying to work out what was going on and why we were receiving specialist treatment!
