Had a lovely foggy dog walk on the beach early this morning
with the girls, convulsed with laughter at one point when one of our party with
panic in her voice questions where her dog was, to find she was stood with him
attached to her lead!!
We made her stand in shame! |
We had to wait a long time for the timer, so SS fell asleep...... |
Mr Option B was out and about by 6:30am taking down those
wretched posters and returning the boards to their owners. He had two long
meetings today and is now out at La Mare with lots of VIP French nationalities, something I think he could
have done without, especially as I am designated taxi, no wait, a son has
offered to ‘do the pick-up’-hurrah!
My car had to go to the garage today, I’ve worn the brakes
out, no doubt the v tired politician will add that to my payment list along with my recently bought new tyres. Consequently I was ‘on
my bike’, as a means of transport to work this afternoon. Getting there was very pleasant in a downhill, sunny sort
of way, my return journey was extremely unpleasant in thick fog, which just
seemed to be in the top half of the Island
Puffing uphill towards a junction I spied two ‘lost’ looking
cyclists studying a Perry’s guide map. So upon recognising kindred spirit I
told them the sunshine was “that way” pointing southwards, and genially offered
them my vast knowledge and orienteering skills. Imagine my embarrassment then
when I quickly realised I couldn’t see the map properly without my glasses and
then becoming flustered couldn’t quite work out where we were, especially after
the well-spoken French gentlemen asked
if he was on the A3?!!
Master Seafaris had an excellent trip to the Ecrehous over
lunchtime, a sunny oasis in a sea of fog. Apparently they spotted porpoises,
not dolphins, anybody else ever seen them?
