Monday 21st May
10 weeks today since my operation.........
Lying in bed this morning and pondering on the plans I had
for the day ahead, and how my legs may feel when I eventually swung them out of
the covers, I observed hubby with his morning dressings. Some people find it
very hard to move about quietly and my dear hubby is one of those, for instance
he is usually up well before me, and try as he might even his breathing is
noisy! There is little change between him moving about normally or moving about
‘quietly’ other than the concentration on his face! This morning he reminded me
of the ‘Gruffalo’, (minus the wart of course- and you’d have to work with small
children to understand what I mean!) He can look a little fierce, is a bit
hairy but ultimately he is really gentle and kind. (Did I mention that he must
really love me when we were getting soaked to the skin in the wilds of Noirmont
yesterday?)
I had a good aqua aerobics class this morning although a bit of
sunshine would have been nice, and then I trogged into town for some shopping.
I then had to follow this up with another food shop, the fridge was empty from
the weekend ‘boy fest’ a regular occurrence in this household I’m afraid!
Finished off the afternoon with a walk and talk along St
Catherine’s with PDLH, and collecting more donations for the RFL, I have now
had to raise the target YET AGAIN! Now that is AMAZING, it’s topped £3,000!!
Many thanks to EVERYONE.
We had a lovely family tea tonight, you know one of those
that everyone gets a say, the food was delicious, and conversation was flowing
and often funny. A real buzzing homely atmosphere a good memory to treasure-
and they all helped with the clearing up……….bonus!!
