Tuesday 8th May
Nice early morning visit from JDLH, bringing supplies of
delicious Paella and some jolly conversation! Missed out on ‘drop in’ to my
Tuesday Zumba class, as late for hospital visit, so save that for next week!
Blood tests good, so all systems go for next round of Chemo on Friday. Although
I was told about prescriptions I will need and future blood tests etc., I didn’t
absorb half the information, I believe I am suffering from ‘Chemo Brain’; this
condition can affect even the most hardy of souls.
Met SW in town for a coffee and a bit of shopping, luckily
she has lent me a rather fetching hat for my Liberation Day events tomorrow. My
hairdresser has shorn what was left of my wispy locks and now I feel
LIBERATED!! Family in agreement that I have rather a nice shaped head, and
hubby says, first time his hair is longer than mine! (It will be a ‘wig’ day
tomorrow I think)
I decided that tennis would be a better option than netball
tonight, not so energetic, non- contact, and closer to home- and boy did I LOVE
IT! Played for just over an hour, lost every game, didn’t play well, but really
enjoyed the experience after 8 weeks of very little activity. Also good to see
a few familiar faces and enjoy a catch up.

Am feeling slightly guilty about keeping you from your kumba, kimba, mumba (what's it called?) session this morning, but I think, by the amount of laughing we did, at the most innapropriate, totally un PC things (as always) your belly muscles were exercised enough. So, feeling guilty no more. Laughter and good talks are worth more than any exercise regime and money to boot! xxxx Well, to me they are as I don't do this exercisey sporty stuff.
