Tuesday 15th May
I have had such a GOOD day today, thought I’d just pop by my
Zumba class to say hello, and ended up doing the class! Just the boost I needed
mentally and physically! A few of us went for a coffee afterwards at the
village tea rooms, bonus!
Got a lift down to Gorey for a rather nice lunch at Feast
with two friends PE and AdF, in which during the various conversations we had
one of them involved us ‘being lucky’. Now the fact that one of us had a
stroke, one had breast cancer and I have ovarian cancer does seem a little
ironic! Still we did have a laugh and that was the main thing.
A neighbour very kindly dropped off a large pot of
bolognaise meat ready for supper tonight,(thanks JDLH) so that area of the day
was covered, and as all the ‘children/adults’ were out and hubby not back, I seized the opportunity
to visit the tennis club and see if I could play a match or two.
I did, and thoroughly enjoyed myself, felt a few times like
I was running through treacle, and more than a little limp wristed, but it was
FUN! I’m beginning to become embarrassed at the amount of people that read this
blog, and received a back handed compliment tonight from someone who shall
remain nameless, when she said “she didn’t realise how intelligent I was!” Not
intelligent I’m afraid just a ‘gift of the gab!!
I must just say a big thank you for the donations that are still coming in for the Race-for- Life , especially from Mr and Mrs TP (sorry I missed you) and I've reached yet another target! BRILLIANT!
