Thursday 10th May
Had a mixed morning today, started off attempting to find a
room in the Lido medical centre, a room that should have contained a few people
participating in ‘Gentle Yoga’. Just up my street I thought, even I should
manage that, and I may even LIKE it! However it doesn’t start until next week……
Did meet some lovely people on my tour around the building,
and bumped into an acquaintance I look forward to having a coffee with next
week! I then had to do various shop/bank /house jobs, but I did manage an hour
walk around my lovely Bel Val, and along the breakwater.
Visitors from the west came over this afternoon, one has red
curly hair and likes to run around with a tambourine and chase the cat, the
other always ensures she feels relaxed enough to fill her nappy. Fortunately I
left the mother to deal with the latter…..
Lots of excitement forecast tomorrow, not for me I hasten to
add, but for my daughter on her 18th birthday, (it’s ok, I’ve burnt
all the spinning wheels in St Martin, so no bad witch to cast spells). Mind you
I am a little concerned, 15 friends arriving tomorrow night for an evening of
fun and frolics, that doesn’t bother me – it’s the fact that sons no 2 and 3
are providing the entertainment!!! (At daughter’s request it’s a no alcohol policy,
which is fine, but most of the games that were ‘planned’ involved some kind of
alcoholic forfeit!!)
(A link I was sent with a very interesting metaphor)
It portrays humanity as a sailboat on the sea of life. Making up the structure of the boat are the physical aspects of life and good health, such as food, exercise, shelter. The water surrounding the boat is the emotions. Depending upon our personal perception, the water can be calm or stormy; it can take the form of a pond, a lake, a river or an ocean. And finally, the wind that fills our sails is the spiritual aspect of life. Brian Clement

Sounds like it could be an interesting evening for Becky's special birthday!!! Hope tomorrow is ok. Lots of hugs xx
