Tuesday 29th May
What a ‘rollercoaster’ of emotions I’m having on this
‘journey’- a real adventure, I’ve been on top of mountains and pot holing
underground…. (Metaphorically speaking) and not quite halfway through yet….. I
must say it is so uplifting meeting so many people out there in this small island
that spur me on in so many ways. I think I am reasonably equipped for whatever
obstacles I face. I have stout walking boots; insect repellent, waterproof tent,
compass etc., but sometimes I misplace things or lose my way and then somebody
comes along and picks me and sets me right again. ;-) Thanks.
Thanks go to the kind (young) ladies at my Zumba class this
morning that added to the ‘money pot’ that is Cancer Research UK, (tonight
standing at £4850), and the donation that has been sent through the post.
I kept out of the sun today, and took it easy, looked at the
photos on ‘This Is Jersey’ page, there are a few faces I recognise, shame we
didn’t take more photos ourselves, but it certainly was an excellent day!
I had to go into town this afternoon, and I swear I saw a
uniformed policeman walking down Queen Street swinging his truncheon……………(at least I think it was his truncheon)..... was
that necessary I asked myself!
The boys have been fishing again today (hunter-gathers in
the fog) and this evening I feasted on freshly caught Bream, last night it was
Mullet, and before that Mackerel, so it’s just as well I like fish!!
