Thursday 3rd May
Started the day with two sales people who talked me through
lights/ lamp shades and general electrical ‘stuff’, I had to concentrate REALLY
hard and try and make IMPORTANT decisions, very stressful! This is only the beginning,
I am useless at ‘interior design’ some people just have a knack of knowing how
to match things up and I am rubbish!
Went to the Merton to sort out my membership and ‘chat’ to
the lovely staff there, I bored them all with the talk of my blog and my Just
Giving Race for Life page, they pretended to be interested and made me feel a bit better, as had a ‘sad moment’ (hair loss).
Met my lovely curly haired badminton friend , where instead
of badminton we swum and put the world to rights- luckily no-one else was swimming in the lanes as we did that annoying
thing of swimming side by side and talking non-stop!! HA HA
Made my way up to Fort Regent for a little light badminton ‘try
out’ with Son no 3, a mad St Martin parishioner and her equally crazy daughter,
what a combination! Needless to say I LOVED IT, but I can’t say the others did…..
Mostly because I had my ‘bossy teacher voice’ and attempted ‘new scoring’ and
various coaching rules. The adult ‘lady’ did a very good impersonation of
appearing interested, the ‘girl’ got stroppy when I didn’t praise her enough,
and my son just ignored me!!
This means that both the TENNIS CLUB players and my ZUMBA class
better watch out next week, and I reckon Pentanque is easily on the cards for
Saturday (weather permitting)!!
I was pleased to catch up with my farming neighbour for a
cup of tea, difficult with so much going on now the weather is drier, before
finally returning home to meet up with the ‘blind man’ again !
Yet more IMPORTANT decisions making to be done as regards ‘blind’
choices, luckily my daughter helped out so at least I can blame someone if they
don’t look right….LOL
Farming neighbour had kindly given me some plants for the
veg garden, and as it was a lovely evening thought it was perfect to get
started, lettuce, tomatoes and courgettes, plus I had loads of sweet peas to
put in. Put a few more mange tout peas in, few rows of beetroot and filled in
the turnip spaces!!

and find something in the glove compartment’
